ABOUT SANTIAGO
His Story
Santiago is not your typical horse; he possesses exceptional qualities that have been distinctly underscored by a remarkable, heart-shaped marking adorning his forehead. His acquisition by Kerri in 2007 as a 3 year old initially stemmed from an investment-oriented mindset aimed at pursuing equestrian achievements. However, the trajectory of their journey took an unforeseen turn, as Kerri's affection for Santiago deepened to a point where parting with him became inconceivable.
Over the years, Santiago has distinguished himself through numerous triumphs at the highest echelons of equestrian competition and prestigious events. Notable among these accomplishments is his unanimous championship at the renowned Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show in Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as his recognition as the Australian Arabian Champion in halter show by a youth, where he was presented by a remarkable seven-year-old Addison. Santiago's acclaim extends beyond the realm of equestrian beauty and prowess, as he has also renowned for his exceptional gentleness, particularly evident in his interactions with Kerri, who relies on a wheelchair, and her young daughter, Addison.
In 2012, as Kerri and her family relocated to back to Australia, Santiago made the journey with them. In 2013, Santiago’s first book was released "The Amazing Adventures of Amurath Santiago," a production that garnered significant success and solidified Santiago's status within an appreciative and a devoted fan base.
Santiago's notable presence and achievements have garnered significant attention in the media, leading to multiple magazine features dedicated to his story and accomplishments. Impressively, he has graced the covers of prestigious publications in not one, but two different countries, further solidifying his international acclaim and recognition.
