Santiago and Addy The Stable Academy

A story based on the true-life adventures of Santiago & his family

Santiago The Stable Academy

Santiago is a young adult fantasy drama set in the haunted coastal town of Port Cooper, Australia. When 14-year-old Addy and her family relocate from the bright lights of Hollywood to take ownership of a crumbling seaside pub. The Haunted Lilly,  inherited by her mother, Kerri, from a late aunt, their fresh start takes a dark and unexpected turn.

Worried she won’t fit into small-town life, Addy finds solace in a mysterious grey Arabian horse named Santiago, who emerges from the ocean as if he has been waiting for her. But Santiago is no ordinary horse, he is later revealed to be a mythical seahorse, a guardian of the sea who can take an earthly form to protect her.

Behind the pub’s weathered walls, the family uncovers a glowing, enchanted book that seems alive, and it binds itself to Addy, marking her as the next Keeper in a long-forgotten line of mermaid sea protectors. As ghost pirates return, paranormal storms rise, and the ocean stirs with ancient magic, Addy is swept into a destiny she never asked for.

The locals whisper warnings. The town hides secrets. And when a spectral pirate attacks, Addy’s birthmark ignites, unleashing a force that scorches an ancient prophecy into the pub walls:

“The sea keeps what it claims… and gives it back twisted.

Protect the book. The drowned will rise. The dead will rule.”

Blending supernatural mystery, coastal folklore, and mermaid mythology, Santiago is a story of courage, legacy, and the bond between a girl and the magical horse who may be her only hope of surviving what’s coming.
